🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: REVISED 2026 NATIONAL EXAMINATION SCHEDULE
The Tanzania Examinations Council (NECTA) has announced changes to the 2026 National Examinations and Assessments Schedule that were originally scheduled to take place in October and November 2026.
The changes have been made as a precautionary measure in response to the possibility of heavy El Niño rains, with the aim of ensuring the safety of students, teachers, invigilators, examination officials and all other personnel involved in the administration of the examinations.
Speaking on Friday, 25 September 2026, the Deputy Minister for Education, Wanu Hafidh Ameir, stated that the decision was made to protect examination candidates and officials, as well as examination materials and documents, from possible disruptions caused by heavy rains in November 2026.

2. National Standard Two Assessment
📌 Previous Date: 17–18 November 2026
✅ New Date: 7–8 October 2026
3. National Form Two Assessment
📌 Previous Date: 2–13 November 2026
✅ New Date: 12–23 October 2026
4. National Form Four Examination
📌 Previous Date: 9–27 November 2026
✅ New Date: 19 October–6 November 2026
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE
All students, parents, teachers, school administrators, invigilators and other stakeholders are strongly advised to take note of these changes and make the necessary preparations according to the revised 2026 schedule.
The adjustment is intended to ensure that the national examinations and assessments are conducted in a safe, secure and well-organized environment, while minimizing the potential impact of heavy rainfall.
