The positions have different academic and professional requirements depending on the post.
Educational Qualifications
The required qualifications vary according to the position.
For example, some Assistant Lecturer positions require a Master’s Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.8 together with a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Other positions such as Tutor II and Tutorial Assistant have different minimum qualification requirements.

General Conditions for Applicants
According to the official announcement:
- Applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania.
- Applicants must not be above 45 years of age.
- Applicants must attach certified copies of the required academic and professional certificates.
- Applicants must attach relevant transcripts where required.
- Applicants must upload a recent passport-size photograph to the Recruitment Portal.
- Applicants must provide three reputable referees with reliable contact information.
- Foreign academic certificates must be recognised by the relevant authorities.
- Applicants who are currently employed in the Public Service are not allowed to apply.
- Retired Public Service employees should not apply.

The deadline for submitting applications is 28 August 2026.
Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview date. Applicants are also warned that submission of forged certificates or false information may result in legal action.
